Sunday Not-So-Scaries: April 19

I’ve honestly lost track of how many Sundays it’s been since I’ve been inside. I want to say I’m on week six, but I’ve stopped counting. It’s starting to feel a little bit normal, which is weird. But, I’m thankful I can be cozy at home even when it doesn’t always feel great. Here’s a few things that are helping me trudge along during this strange time.

This CBD Chamomile blend tea from Buddha Teas is great. My sleep schedule has been all over the place and this helps bring me down a bit so I can settle in for the night. It’s a bit pricey, so I don’t drink it every night but I save it for nights where I know winding down is going to be especially difficult.

I bought this weighted blanket from Target last year but didn’t use it much. I didn’t like to leave it on the bed because I was worried it would weigh the bed down(?) and just stopped using it. Well, I brought her back out and WHAT A DREAM. Weighted blankets feel like a 12+ lb hug and sometimes I need it.

Paper products are impossible to come by these days. I’ve been wanting to make the switch away from disposable paper towels and napkins for a bit but never took the plunge until now. What a perfect time! I got these to replace our napkins and it’s been a seamless transition. Super soft and absorbent. I’ve been using dust rags to clean up the counters and what not and it’s been super easy, not to mention earth friendly!

I’ve barely watched TV since I’ve been home. A few things here and there (Tom and I are still trying to finish The Sopranos). But I have a hard time focusing on shows. But on Friday night when I found it hard to sleep I turned on The Golden Girls (HULU!) from the beginning. The show always reminds me of my grandmother because we used to watch it together whenever we visited her growing up. I love them all, but Sophia has my heart.

Tom and I also recently watched Chris D’Elia’s new stand-up special No Pain. DEFINITELY recommend if you need a good laugh. Plus, I have a special place in my heart for NJ folks.

A podcast I recently dove into, Fake Doctors, Real Friends, is so delightful. It’s a Scrubs recap show with Donald Faison and Zach Braff (another Jersey dude). I was a big fan of the show back in the day, and it’s been really fun to hear their inside take on it.

Recently bought this tee from Last Podcast on the Left, and it’s so comfy!

Can we talk about leggings as pants real quick? It’s all I’ve been wearing. I’ve tried to do jeans while I’ve been home and it ain’t happening. I’m loving these from Girlfriend Collective and these Yogalicious ones I bought before this all went down. Also, shout out to these LC Lauren Conrad leggings for coming in clutch with the petite sizing for us short gals. I’ve had them for over a year and they’re still holding strong.

I’ve been considering getting back into rollerskating (which I haven’t done in over a decade). Any recommendations?

Hope you’re all safe and healthy and cozy at home.
