It’s been a rainy week, but a happy one. I enjoyed having an entire week off with my husband, even if we didn’t get out much and spent time taking turns playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater on PS4, which I am very bad at. We would have been in Germany this week if COVID hadn’t happened, but I’m dreaming up our plans to really do it big whenever we can finally get there.
I just got back from spending the weekend with my sister, brother-in-law and my little sweet nephew. He’s about ready to walk and had me on my toes! It was such a special visit and I’m so happy I was able to visit with them safely.
A few things I’m loving this week:
I know buying jeans seems really weird right now, but sometimes I want some normalcy back in my life. Transitioning into fall clothes is about to happen and I’d like to try to wear more than loungewear while I’m working remotely, but we’ll see if I actually do. No promises. Anyway, I can’t quite bring my 31-year-old self to drop these skater jeans in my cart right now, so I’ll just covet them from afar. I LIVED in this style jeans all through my tween and teen years. I thought I was such a “punk rocker” haha ugh.
I did however order these mom jeans. I got two different sizes because I was unsure about the fit and I’m still on the fence about whether I want to keep the bigger size for comfort. Sometimes we need pizza jeans!
We are just about wrapping up our spare room renovation which means I’m on the hunt for some furniture. This may take a little while, since we have a few more projects that need immediate attention, though. However, one strange thing about the room is that the closet is home to not one but three air vents (????????) which led us to make the decision to remove the closet door to allow the vents to do their thing. Right now I’m looking for some door alternatives, macramé or beads? Hmmmmmm… if we go macramé, I’ve got my eyes on this one.
We just got this tapestry to hang in our den. We really loved our trips out to the desert and this just made my heart feel happy. I can’t wait to put it up.
I also finally dove in and bought a treadmill today. AGH! It feels like such a big purchase without actually seeing it IRL, but I mulled it over for a couple of weeks before dropping it in my cart. Our gym shut down for good recently, and we aren’t exactly comfortable with going back to a different one any time soon. So, we are planning to slowly bring some equipment to our garage and work out at home. Crossing my fingers this treadmill works out!
I hope you’re all spending your Sunday just the way you want to. Wishing y’all rest and happiness.
